Microsoft's text editing app, Notepad, which has been shipping with Windows since version 1.0 in 1985, now supports line endings in text files created on Linux, Unix, Mac OS, and macOS devices. 'This has been a major annoyance for developers, IT Pros, administrators, and end users throughout the community,' Microsoft said in a blog post today.
With IntelliJ IDEA, you can set up line separators (line endings) for newly created files, and change line separator style for existing files.
Various view modes are included so that you can quickly open or close specific windows. One is a focus mode to hide all of the open windows and just display the editor, and the others show or hide things like folders, the syntax checker results, and notifications. This program simplifies the management of all open text documents. Text eol=crlf Git will always convert line endings to CRLF on checkout. You should use this for files that must keep CRLF endings, even on OSX or Linux.

Oct 18, 2014 It sometimes happens that you run into 'inconsistent line ending' warnings when using the Unity Editor. For example, this can happen when importing 3rd-party code from a package in the Unity Asset Store, when working on a project using both Windows and Mac machines, or when using multiple text editors or IDEs to write scripts (such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Unity MonoDevelop). Jan 04, 2008 I think the problem is the line endings. Mac and Windows use different conventions. Wordpad can handle the difference, Notepad cannot. You can use another text editor on the Mac, like TextWrangler, which offers a choice of line endings.

- From the Line separator list, select the line separator style you want to apply.
